At the beginning of August 2010, the northern parts of the Czech Republic, in particular the Liberec region and the neighbouring district Dĕčín, experienced unusually heavy rainfall triggering burst river banks, forcing people to leave their homes and causing damage to public infrastructures, private homes, agriculture and businesses.
Au début du mois d’août 2010, le nord de la République tchèque, en particulier la région de Liberec et le district voisin de Dĕčín, a connu des précipitations exceptionnellement fortes qui ont provoqué des crues, contraint des habitants à quitter leur maison et infligé des dommages aux infrastructures publiques, aux habitations privées, à l’agriculture et aux entreprises.
