So why should the fact that the RCMP are investigating Mr. Wright and Senator Duffy stop us from getting to the bottom of allegations involving Senator Gerstein and Michael Runia, allegations which directly and profoundly impugn the integrity of the whole process that we ordered, the process, to use the government leader's words, which we set in place " in order to protect the dignity and reputation of the Senate and public trust and confidence in Parliament" ?
