MOTION By unanimous consent, Mr. Zed (Parliamentary Secretary to the Leader of the Government in the House of Commons), seconded by Mr. Mifflin (Minister of Fisheries and Oceans), moved, That, immediately after the conclusion of Private Members' Business on Tuesday, December 10, 1996, the House shall consider a motion " That this House take note of the fiftieth anniversary of the adoption of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1998 and the importance of this declaration in the promotion of human rights both domestically and throughout the world" , and that during the consideration of this motion, no quorum calls or dilatory motions shall be received and that, at the end of three hours of consideration or when no Member rises to speak, whichever is earlier, the House shall adjourn to the next sitting day.
