According to Article 3(2) of the Agreement of 19 October 2005 between the European Community and the Kingdom of Denmark on jurisdiction and the recognition and enforcement of judgments in civil and commercial matters (1) (hereafter the Agreement), concluded by Council Decision 2006/325/EC (2), whenever amendments to Council Regulation (EC) No 44/2001 of 22 December 2000 on jurisdiction and the recognition and enforcement of judgments in civil and commercial matters (3) are adopted, Denmark shall notify the Commission of its decision whether or not to implement the content of such amendments.

According to Article 4 of the Agreement of 19 October 2005 between the European Community and the Kingdom of Denmark on jurisdiction and the recognition and enforcement of judgments in civil and commercial matters (1) (hereinafter ‘the Agreement’), concluded by Council Decision 2006/325/EC (2), whenever implementing measures are adopted pursuant to Article 74(2) of Council Regulation (EC) No 44/2001 of 22 December 2000 on jurisdiction and the recognition and enforcement of judgments in civil and commercial matters (3), Denmark’s decision on whether or not to implement the content of such measures shall be notified to the Commission.

The Agreement between the European Community and the Kingdom of Denmark on jurisdiction and the recognition and enforcement of judgments in civil and commercial matters is hereby approved on behalf of the Community.

Regulation (EC) No 44/2001 on jurisdiction and the recognition and enforcement of judgments in civil and commercial matters comes under Title IV. The regulation replaces, in all the Member States except Denmark, the Brussels Convention of 27 September 1968 on jurisdiction and the enforcement of judgments in civil and commercial matters.
Le règlement (CE) n°44/2001 concernant la compétence judiciaire, la reconnaissance et l'exécution des décisions en matière civile et commerciale relève du titre IV. Ce règlement remplace, dans tous les Etats européens à l'exception du Danemark, la Convention de Bruxelles du 27 septembre 1968 relative à la compétence judiciaire et à l'effet des décisions étrangères.
