Mr. David McGuinty: Finally, Mr. Chairman, in the year 2000 the Minister of Finance, now Prime Minister, asked the Prime Minister's National Round Table on the Environment and the Economy to devise Canada's first set, first small suite, of environment and sustainable development indicators, which was done.

Does the Council recall the supplementary question asked by Mr David Martins (PSE) following Oral Question H‑0577/04 asked by the GUE/NGL Group at the European Parliament sitting of 23 February 2005, in which Mr Martins pointed out that Mr Vanunu had been taken from European soil illegally in 1986 and in which he asked if the Council would encourage the Israeli Government to stop their persecution of this individual, allow him to leave Israel and, if he so desired, to live in the European Union, to which Minister Schmit, on behalf of the Luxembourg Presidency replied, ‘yes, I will’?
