The 280km-long "TGV Atlantique" line, which has already received financing from the European Investment Bank (EIB), will consist of three separate sections: - the first 124 km, linking Paris with Courtalain; - the second section (52 km) from Courtalain to Connerre - where it will connect with the Le Mans-Rennes-Britanny and the Angers-Nantes lines; - the third section (87km) linking Courtalain with St-Pierre-des-Corps, where it will connect with the south-western lines running to Bordeaux, Toulouse and the Spanish frontier.
