21. Commends Vice-President Tajani’s work in coordinating IP more closely with the Competitiveness Council; acknowledges that an IP for RISE should form a common basis for the EU but stresses that it must take into account the different national and regional circumstances and be coordinated with the IP of the Member States; supports the idea of a stronger Competitiveness Council which, in coordination with the Commission, contributes to the vertical coordination of policies at European, regional and Member State level; notes that, inter alia, smart regulation and reduced red tape are an essential precondition for industrial growth;
21. félicite le vice-président Tajani pour son travail en vue d'une coordination de la politique industrielle plus étroite avec le Conseil «Compétitivité»; reconnaît qu'une politique industrielle aux fins de la stratégie RISE doit former une base commune pour l'Union, mais souligne qu'elle doit tenir compte des différentes réalités nationales et régionales et être coordonnée avec la politique industrielle des États membres; soutient l'idée d'un Conseil «Compétitivité» plus puissant, qui, en concertation avec la Commission, contribuerait à la coordination verticale des politiques aux niveaux européen, régional et national; fait notamment observer que la réglementation intelligente et une charge administrative réduite constituent des conditions préalables indispensables à la croissance industrielle;

Regardless of the significant efforts made by the Presidency of the Council, it was recorded at the Competitiveness Council meeting of 10 November 2010 that no unanimous agreement on the translation arrangements could be reached[13].

In the same light we welcome the continuing commitment to hold competition day seminars under each Council presidency, although we are keen to see wider public knowledge of, and participation in, such events.
Parallèlement, nous approuvons l'engagement soutenu en vue de tenir des séminaires sur la concurrence sous chaque présidence du Conseil, bien que nous souhaitions qu'un public plus large soit informé de tels événements et qu'il y participe.
