IN-CONTEXT TRANSLATIONS

With a view to minimising further the risks presented by PPPs for human health and the environment, the Communication has identified a range of measures, which could make up a Community Thematic Strategy on the Sustainable Use of Pesticides which would usefully complement the existing legislative framework.
Afin de réduire encore plus les risques pour la santé humaine et l'environnement liés aux pesticides, la communication a défini une série de mesures qui pourraient être regroupées dans une stratégie thématique communautaire concernant l'utilisation durable des pesticides susceptible de compléter utilement le cadre législatif existant.

On the basis of the analyses developed in this Communication and the outcome of the consultation process, the Commission will propose at the beginning of 2004 all necessary measures setting out a comprehensive Community Thematic Strategy on the Sustainable Use of Pesticides.
Sur la base des analyses développées dans la présente communication et du résultat du processus de consultation, la Commission proposera, début 2004, toutes les mesures nécessaires dans le cadre d'une stratégique thématique communautaire concernant l'utilisation durable des pesticides.

(5) It is appropriate to revise the legislation related to industrial installations in order to simplify and clarify the existing provisions, reduce unnecessary administrative burdens and implement the conclusions of the Commission Communications on the Thematic Strategy on Air Pollution , the Thematic Strategy for Soil Protection and the Thematic Strategy on the Prevention and Recycling of Waste adopted as a follow-up to Decision No 1600/2002/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 22 July 2002 laying down the Sixth Community Environment Action Programme .
(5) Il y a lieu de réviser la législation relative aux installations industrielles afin de simplifier et d'expliciter les dispositions existantes, de réduire les charges administratives inutiles et de mettre en œuvre les conclusions des communications de la Commission concernant la stratégie thématique sur la pollution atmosphérique , la stratégie thématique en faveur de la protection des sols , la stratégie thématique pour la prévention et le recyclage des déchets , adoptées dans le prolongement de la décision n° 1600/2002/CE du Parlement européen et du Conseil du 22 juillet 2002 établissant le sixième programme d'action communautaire pour l'environnement .

4. Notes with regret that the Thematic Strategy on the sustainable use of natural resources (Thematic Strategy) fails to pursue the objectives of the European Community's 6th EAP; considers that the objectives of the 6th EAP relating to the sustainable use of natural resources will remain unattained unless the concerted actions presented in the Thematic Strategy are made more effective; considers that this applies particularly to the objective of ensuring that the use of natural resources and their impact do not exceed the carrying capacity of the environment;
4. note avec regret que la stratégie thématique sur l'utilisation durable des ressources naturelles (la "stratégie thématique") ne répond pas aux objectifs du sixième PAE; estime que les objectifs du sixième PAE relatifs à l'utilisation durable des ressources naturelles demeureront lettre morte si les actions communes présentées dans la stratégie thématique ne sont pas améliorées dans un sens plus fonctionnel; considère que cela concerne notamment l'objectif visant à garantir que l'utilisation des ressources naturelles et son incidence ne dépassent pas la capacité de l'environnement;
