Commission decisions for the regional programmes and the 'Fisheries' horizontal programme were taken by the end of 2000. The outstanding two operational programmes (transport and the ESF federal programme) for the implementation of the CSF (in total EUR20 700 million of Community funding, including EUR748 million for transitional areas in Berlin) were approved by the Commission in February 2001.
