The Commission attended the 17th meeting of the 'Regional policy, Structural Funds, economic and social cohesion, cross-border and interregional cooperation" section of the Committee of the Regions on 25 June which included an initial debate on the Annual Report 1999 [15]. The Committee's final opinion is expected in November 2001.
La Commission a participé à la 17ème réunion de la commission «Politique régionale, Fonds structurels, cohésion économique et sociale, coopération transfrontalière et interrégionale» du Comité des régions le 25 juin 2001. À cette occasion a eu lieu un premier débat sur le Rapport annuel 1999 [15].

In the Conciliation Committee we finally opted for the formulation proposed by the Council which is based on the cosmetics directive and I believe that in so doing we have chosen a sensible path that is also legally sound.
