– (PT) This resolution is yet another case where, in relation to enlargement and a statement published by the European Commission, entitled ‘Enlargement Strategy and Main Challenges 2009-2010’, the majority in Parliament wants to acknowledge Kosovo, even saying that they ‘welcome the Commission’s intention to strengthen its relations with Kosovo, including exploring the possibility of Kosovo’s participation in Community programmes’.
– (PT) Avec cette résolution au sujet de l’élargissement, qui fait suite à la publication par la Commission européenne d’une déclaration intitulée «Stratégie d’élargissement et principaux défis 2009-2010», la majorité du Parlement européen s’attache, une fois de plus, à vouloir reconnaître le Kosovo. Le texte va même jusqu’à se féliciter «de l’intention de la Commission de renforcer les relations avec le Kosovo, y compris en examinant la possibilité d’une participation du Kosovo à des programmes communautaires».

Finally, the EU has managed to strengthen its financial support for Roma inclusion not only in the 28 EU countries, but also in enlargement countries where the promotion of Roma inclusion remains a major priority under the Commission Communication,‘Enlargement Strategy and Main Challenges’
