In the context of the revision of the Financial Regulation, stresses the need to clarify rules and management schemes under shared management, and in respect of cohesion policy that this clarification shall be to the maximum extent possible in order to avoid contradictions to the Financial Regulation; notes that governance problems between the Financial Regulation and the cohesion regulations can be avoided by better alignment of eligibility rules across various policies; takes the view, nonetheless, that simplification, in particular in connection with the revision of the Financial Regulation, needs to ensure stable rules and management schemes in the long term;
