The Regulation determines the scope of intervention of the Fund: according to the Commission proposal, in the environmental field the Cohesion Fund shall promote the shift towards a low carbon economy in all sectors, support investment in climate change adaptation and risk prevention, investment in the water and waste sectors and in the urban environment.
