To achieve that aim, I believe we need not only to support certain infrastructure works, but also to have a neutral approach to all the various projects.

Council Regulation (EC) No 189/2008 (20) established specifications relevant to certain SIS II tests aimed to demonstrate that central SIS II, the communication infrastructure and the interactions between central SIS II and the national systems (N.SIS II) work in accordance with the technical and functional requirements set out in the SIS II legal instruments. That Regulation lost its legal effect once the SIS II became operational on 9 April 2013.

18. Calls on the Commission to draw up rules to ensure that, in tendering for any public works financed with Structural or Cohesion Funds (for transport and communications infrastructure, certain equipment, and landscaping or environmental works), from 0.1 to 0.5% of Community funding should go to the creation of any works of art (sculpture, ceramics, painting etc.) that will serve to decorate the completed works and remind citizens of the Community's participation in those works;
