At its March meeting, the European Council noted that the recent €10 billion increase in the EIB's capital will allow it to lend an additional €60 billion in support of growth and employment. Together with the European Investment Fund, this will help catalyse projects worth up to €180 billion in the 2013-15 period.
Le Conseil européen réuni en mars a indiqué que la récente augmentation de 10 milliards d'euros du capital de la BEI permettra à celle-ci d'accorder 60 milliards d'euros de prêts supplémentaires pour soutenir la croissance et l'emploi, ce qui, avec le concours du Fonds européen d'investissement, aura un effet catalyseur pour des projets pouvant atteindre 180 milliards d'euros pour la période 2013-2015.
