The regionalisation of Canada was recognised by Decision 2007/777/EC as amended by Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2015/204 (3) following outbreaks of HPAI in poultry in the Province of British Columbia in Canada.

An academic conference on «The Nature and Culture of Forests; the Implications of Diversity for Sustainability, Trade and Certification» was organised on 10-13 May 2001 May by the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver, Canada with the joint support of Canada, Sweden and the European Commission.
