Takes note with concern of the ruling handed down by the Russian appeal court against Mikhail Khodorkovsky and his business associate Platon Lebedev on 26 May 2011 as a continuation of politically motivated court decisions; condemns political interference with the trial; welcomes President Medvedev's decision to examine this case in the Presidential Human Rights Council; welcomes the European Court of Human Rights' ruling in this case accepting Khodorkovsky's claims of unlawful detention; takes note of President Medvedev's decision to start an investigation into the criminal charges against Sergey Magnitsky; encourages the investigation committee to publish an independent and thorough report as soon as possible; welcomes the convictions for the murders of Anastasiya Baburova and Stanislav Markelov, and calls on the Russian authorities to continue their work on this case; takes note of the arrest of the suspected assassin of Anna Politkovskaya;
16. prend acte avec préoccupation du verdict prononcé le 26 mai 2011 par la cour d'appel de Russie à l'encontre de Mikhaïl Khodorkovski et de son associé, Platon Lebedev, considéré une nouvelle fois comme étant motivé par des raisons politiques; condamne l'ingérence politique qui a eu lieu dans le procès; se félicite de la décision du président Medvedev de faire examiner cette affaire dans le cadre du conseil présidentiel des droits de l'homme; se félicite de l'arrêt prononcé par la Cour européenne des droits de l'homme dans cette affaire, qui accepte les revendications de détention illégale de Khodorkovsky; prend acte de la décision du président Medvedev d'ouvrir une enquête sur les charges criminelles pesant contre Sergey Magnitsky; encourage la commission d'enquête à publier un rapport indépendant et détaillé dans les meilleurs délais; se félicite des condamnations faisant suite aux meurtres d'Anastasiya Baburova et de Stanislav Markelov, et demande aux autorités russes de poursuivre leurs travaux sur cette affaire; prend acte de l'arrestation du meurtrier présumé d'Anna Politkovskaïa;

119. Takes note of the Amnesty International Report 2010 which highlights the ongoing second trial of former YUKOS oil company chief Mikhail Khodorkovsky and his business associate Platon Lebedev as representative of unfair trials in Russia; calls upon the Russian Federation to ensure that fundamental norms of due process and human rights are respected in the prosecution of these and all other defendants in the country's justice system;
