− (EN) Monsieur le Président, afin de saluer également les recherches frénétiques des États membres de l’UE pour sauver le système bancaire, bien que d’une manière insuffisamment coordonnée, nous avons pensé qu’il serait judicieux de déposer l’amendement suivant: «considérant que la nature de plus en plus transfrontalière des activités bancaires en Europe et la nécessité de réagir de façon coordonnée à des chocs défavorables, ainsi que la nécessité de gérer les risques systémiques de façon efficace imposent que les divergences entre les régimes nationaux des États membres soient réduites au minimum; considérant qu’il est nécessaire d’aller plus loin que les études déjà réalisées par la Commission européenne à cet égard et de modifier la directive 94/19/CE dès que possible pour prévoir le même niveau de protection des dépôts bancaires dans toute l’Union, afin de préserver la stabilité financière et la confiance des déposants et d’éviter les distorsions de concurrence».
