At its meeting of 29 January 2001, the Council welcomed the Commission's intention to submit a package of measures, before the next Council meeting, towards resolving the problems caused by the imbalance on the EU market in beef, both short and long term, while at the same time improving quality on that market.
Lors de sa réunion du 29 janvier 2001, le Conseil a estimé bienvenue l'intention formulée par Commission de présenter, avant la prochaine réunion du Conseil, une série de mesures visant à résoudre, à court comme à long terme, le problème du déséquilibre qui règne sur le marché européen de la viande bovine, tout en améliorant la qualité des produits présents sur ce marché.
