Under the competition rules of the ECSC Treaty, the Commission has authorised ILVA SpA and FALCK SpA, two Italian steel manufacturers to conclude a specialisation agreement allowing Falck to specialise in the area of hot rolled narrow strip, heavy plate for construction and special bearing steels and alloy constructional steels and Ilva to specialise in the area of coated strip, heavy plate for tubes, shipbuilding and off- shore rigs as well as stainless steel and alloy constructional steels.
En application des règles de concurrence du traité CECA, la Commission a autorisé Ilva SpA et Falck SpA, deux producteurs sidérurgiques italiens, de conclure un accord de spécialisation permettant à Falck de se spécialiser dans le domaine des feuillards laminés à chaud, des tôles fortes pour construction et des produits longs en aciers spéciaux pour roulements et en acier allié de construction et à Ilva, de son côté, de se spécialiser dans le domaine des tôles revêtues, des tôles fortes pour tubes, chantiers navals et offshore ainsi que dans les produits longs en acier inoxydable et de construction.
