Under these changes, a financial contribution by the shareholders of the consortium which has undertaken the project were to be a condition for approval of the plan for financing the project in question. This contribution has, however, still not been made, nor have the Greek authorities submitted the financing plan making provision for co-funding of the project on the basis of the Structural Funds for the programming period 2000-2006.
Dans la réponse par elle réservée à la question P-0545/02 , de l'auteur de la présente question, relative au métro de Thessalonique, la Commission précise que la Banque européenne d'investissement (BEI) et les banques commerciales ont exigé du concessionnaire certaines modifications et que ces modifications supposent, pour que le plan de financement du projet en question soit approuvé, la participation financière des actionnaires de l'entreprise conjointe concessionnaire, mais que cette participation n'est pas encore réalisée et que les autorités grecques n'ont pas encore présenté le plan de financement, qui prévoyait le cofinancement au titre des Fonds structurels durant la période de programmation 2000-2006.
