– (PL) Mr President, on 22 January 2008 the primary court in Afghanistan’s northern province of Balkh sentenced to death Perwiz Kambakhsh, a 23-year-old journalism student writing in the local newspaper, for downloading an article on women’s rights from the internet and distributing it electronically.
– (PL) Monsieur le Président, le 22 janvier 2008, le tribunal de première instance de la province de Balkh, située dans le nord de l’Afghanistan, a condamné à mort Perwiz Kambakhsh, un étudiant en journalisme âgé de 23 ans, travaillant pour le journal local, pour avoir téléchargé depuis l’Internet un article sur les droits des femmes et l’avoir fait circuler par voie électronique.
