As regards the investment subsidy of DEM 2,7 million from the Cologne administration for the construction of the new sorting-depot, the German authorities pointed out that the construction of this building had become necessary not only because the owner of the old, leased building had given notice to terminate the lease, but also because the old building did not meet the requirements of German environmental protection legislation, in particular the rules on air and water pollution and the prevention of noise.
En ce qui concerne la subvention à l'investissement de 2,7 millions de marks allemands octroyée par le Regierungspräsident de Cologne pour la construction du nouvel entrepôt, les autorités allemandes ont expliqué que cette opération était devenue nécessaire non seulement parce que le propriétaire de l'ancien entrepôt loué par GAV avait résilié le contrat, mais encore parce que l'ancien entrepôt ne satisfaisait pas aux exigences de la réglementation allemande en matière de protection de l'environnement, notamment contre la pollution de l'air et de l'eau ainsi que contre le bruit.
