(c) This Agreement shall remain open for signature until the close of business on December 31, 1960, at the principal office of the Bank, on behalf of the governments of the states whose names are set forth in Schedule A, provided that, if this Agreement shall not have entered into force by that date, the Executive Directors of the Bank may extend the period during which this Agreement shall remain open for signature by not more than six months.

Upon termination or expiration of this Agreement, this Funding Agreement shall remain in force in respect of any actual or contingent liability or exposure under any Operation, until any such liability or exposure has been written off or determined to be unrecoverable and any applicable statute of limitation has expired and in particular, EIF shall be entitled to retain such amounts as may be required under this Agreement or any Operation Agreement for the payment of any amount owed thereto or the satisfaction of any accrued or contingent obligations under outstanding Operations.

In lack of such agreement, this Funding Agreement shall remain in force only in respect of any actual or contingent liability or exposure under any Operation, until any such liability or exposure has been written off or determined to be unrecoverable and any applicable statute of limitation has expired.

4. This Agreement shall remain valid unless either Party informs the other Party in writing of its desire to terminate this Agreement.

If, before 31 December 2014, or before the expiry of a period of prolongation referred to in paragraph 2 of this Article, as the case may be, a new agreement or a protocol for the extension of this Agreement has been negotiated but has not yet entered into force either definitively or provisionally, this Agreement shall remain in force beyond its expiry date until the new agreement or protocol enters into force, provided that the period of such prolongation does not exceed 12 months.
3. Si, avant le 31 décembre 2014 ou avant l’expiration d’une période de prorogation visée au paragraphe 2 du présent article, selon le cas, un nouvel accord ou un protocole destiné à reconduire le présent accord a été négocié mais n’est pas encore entré en vigueur à titre provisoire ou définitif, le présent accord demeurera en vigueur au-delà de sa date d’expiration jusqu’à l’entrée en vigueur du nouvel accord ou du protocole, sous réserve que la durée de cette prorogation ne dépasse pas douze mois.
