In this regard, voluntary arrangements seem to be the most appropriate solution, since this type of agreement allows for rapid adaptation to new technologies and may be extended beyond the European Union (EU).

Whilst these points may seem somewhat removed from an agreement dealing with cooperation to prevent anti-competitive practices, they become relevant when this Agreement is seen as part of a framework of cooperation between the European Union and the Republic of Korea designed to ensure the effective promotion of public policy goals.
