Notes that the economic situation is still giving cause for concern, although certain signs of economic recovery which are now appearing give hope for the future; therefore urges the Romanian authorities, with the support of the major political forces, to implement resolutely the Action Plan for the achievement of the goals of the Medium-Term Economic Strategy, endorsed by the Commission and the international financial institutions, in order to achieve macro-economic stabilisation and accelerate the pace of privatisation of state-owned enterprises;
