What is more important about this so-called code of ethics that we have not seen yet is that the average Canadians would think that the person administering the ethics code of Canada, and I find this absolutely disparaging, would think that he or she would be required to report to the Parliament of Canada so that we all know what is going on, so we all know how the ministers are conducting their jobs and to ensure their jobs are not interfering with or conflicting with or enhancing their private lives in some way, their private well-being.
Le plus important au sujet de ce soi-disant code d'éthique, que nous n'avons toujours pas vu, c'est que les Canadiens ordinaires s'attendraient normalement à ce que la personne qui est responsable de l'application du code soit tenue de présenter un rapport au Parlement du Canada afin que tous sachent ce qui se passe, comment les ministres s'acquittent de leurs responsabilités et puissent s'assurer que ces derniers ne se retrouvent pas en situation de conflit d'intérêts en utilisant leurs fonctions publiques à des fins privées.
