During its session on Aboriginal issues, the committee heard, in addition to many of the issues we have talked about already, that there should be permanent Aboriginal representation on the Pan-Canadian Public Health Network, that the social determinants of health must be also addressed to reduce the vulnerability in the face of a pandemic and that not all aspects of the response that were made on H1N1 were culturally appropriate.
Durant la séance sur les questions liées aux Autochtones, on a dit au comité — en plus des nombreuses questions que nous avons déjà abordées — qu'il devrait y avoir une représentation autochtone permanente dans le Réseau pancanadien de santé publique, que les déterminants sociaux de la santé doivent également être pris en compte afin de réduire la vulnérabilité en cas de pandémie et que certains aspects de l'intervention relative à la grippe H1N1 n'étaient pas appropriés sur le plan culturel.
