On 10-11 November 2005 the EESC held a seminar on “the contribution of organised civil society to the work of the WTO: in search of better governance”. This seminar brought together around 200 representatives of organised civil society from countries of the North and South: the EU, Africa, the Caribbean, the Pacific, Asia and Latin America, and also from different socio-professional groups.

These must not be people who think that they will be taking part in a seminar; the governments need to be represented by personalities who also have the ear of their government.
