The entry into force of the Association Agreement completes a series of agreements between Israel and the EU: a scientific and technical cooperation associating Israel with the EU's RD programme - the 5th Framework Programme - entered into force in early 1999; an agreement on procurements for telecommunications operators and on government procurement entered into force in 1997 and an agreement on good laboratory practice came into force in May this year.
