With more than 400 importers of such ores and metals, the EU is among the largest markets for tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold.
L'Union souhaite publier chaque année la liste des "fonderies et affineries responsables" en Europe et dans le monde afin d'accroître la responsabilisation des entreprises de ces secteurs vis-à-vis de l'opinion publique, d'améliorer la transparence de la chaîne d'approvisionnement et d'encourager les pratiques d'approvisionnement responsables.
