With regard to the proposals submitted by the major federations for certain sports, which are in support of a protocol that would exempt them from complying with some of the Treaty’s basic rules, specifically those relating to free movement and to competition, it must be emphasised that this kind of exemption would, if we accept this definition of it, clearly be out of step with all of the objectives we are seeking to achieve.
Pour ce qui est des propositions soumises par certaines grandes fédérations, en ce qui concerne certaines modalités sportives, qui se manifestent en faveur d'un protocole leur permettant d'échapper aux règles de base du traité, notamment celles relatives à la libre circulation et à la concurrence, il y a lieu de souligner que cette exemption, telle qu'elle est définie, serait manifestement disproportionnée par rapport aux objectifs à atteindre.
