Apart from the many submissions they received from individuals, they conducted a large and highly scientific public opinion survey which showed that some 60 per cent of the public in Newfoundland were in favour of a non-denominational system in contra-distinction to the present denominational system, which included a near majority of Catholics as well as Protestants, not of Pentecostals.
