The debate will be opened by Senator Antonio D'Ali, state-secretary in the Italian Ministry for the Interior, who will speak about the priorities of the Italian presidency in this area, and Axel Endlein, Chairman of the German Association of District Councils and member of the CoR (DE-PES), who will present the draft opinion of the Committee of the Regions on the local and regional dimension of the area of freedom, security and justice.
