By increasing the level of Community support available and by focusing on a list of ready-to-launch projects, it will ensure the efficiency of the Community intervention and will boost cross-border investment projects to complete and interconnect national infrastructure networks.Greater integration of infrastructure networks will help to ensure higher traffic volume and more efficient utilisation of transport infrastructures and diminished congestion costs so that the expected return to investment for private investors will increase while giving rise to considerable gains in terms of economic efficiency, transportation time savings and environmental sustainability.
En augmentant le niveau d'aide communautaire disponible et en se concentrant sur une liste de projets prêts à être lancés, elle garantira l'efficacité de l'intervention communautaire et stimulera les projets d'investissement transfrontaliers destinés à compléter et interconnecter les réseaux d'infrastructure nationaux. 6. Projects of common interest included on the Union list pursuant to paragraph 4 of this Article shall become an integral part of the relevant regional investment plans under Article 12 of Regulations (EC) No 714/2009 and (EC) No 715/2009 and of the relevant national 10-year network development plans under Article 22 of Directives 2009/72/EC and 2009/73/EC and other national infrastructure plans concerned, as appropriate.
