The conditions and requirements regarding the performance or cessation of activities are laid down in the above mentioned Regional Law of Sicily No 14 of 3 July 2000 and in the Standard Specifications issued by Decree No 91 of 30 October 2003 and Decree No 88 of 20 October 2004 of the Regional Minister for Industry and published in the Official Gazette of the Region of Sicily Part I, No 49 of 14 November 2003 and Part I, No 46 of 5 November 2004 respectively.

27. Calls on the Commission to foster a legislative environment that fully supports and encourages the full potential of high-efficiency cogeneration installations, in particular for industrial uses as well as microcogeneration for SMEs, and asks Member States to implement the Cogeneration Directive in a way that reflects a realistic and economically feasible approach and avoids establishing barriers to this type of investment; furthermore, calls on the Member States to take full advantage of, and extend, the application of existing technology — including trigeneration — which exploits the energy currently wasted within industry and energy production;
27. invite la Commission à promouvoir un cadre législatif qui soutienne et encourage pleinement le potentiel des installations de cogénération à haute efficacité énergétique, notamment pour les utilisations industrielles ainsi que la microcogénération pour les PME, et demande aux États membres d'appliquer la directive cogénération de manière à refléter une approche réaliste et économiquement réalisable et d'éviter de mettre des obstacles à ce genre d'investissement; invite les États membres à exploiter pleinement et à promouvoir l'utilisation des techniques disponibles — y compris la trigénération — qui permettent de récupérer l'énergie aujourd'hui gaspillée dans le secteur de l'industrie et de la production d'énergie;
