TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

This event, to mark the international year of the mountain in 2002, gave the Community institutions and the people and associations involved on the spot a unique opportunity for dialogue.
Cet événement, qui a marqué l'année internationale de la montagne 2002, a été un moment fort de dialogue entre les institutions communautaires et les acteurs et les associations du terrain.

N. whereas on 17 February 2012 the President of Kazakhstan signed several laws aimed at improving the legal basis for labour relations, workers’ rights and social dialogue and strengthening the independence of the judiciary; whereas despite these attempts, the right of individuals to associate, to organise and to register independent trade unions, the right to collective bargaining and the right to strike are not being fully respected, and a fully independent judiciary is not in place; whereas the amendments to the Labour Code, in particular amended articles 55, 74, 266, 287, 289, 303, and 305, mark a regression in the field of labour relations, workers’ rights and social dialogue and a breach of the conditions laid down in ILO and other international conventions;
N. considérant que, le 17 février 2012, le président du Kazakhstan a signé plusieurs lois visant à améliorer la base juridique des relations de travail, des droits des travailleurs et du dialogue social, et à renforcer l'indépendance de la justice; considérant que, malgré ces tentatives, le droit des personnes de se réunir, de s'organiser et de créer des syndicats indépendants, le droit à la négociation collective et le droit de grève ne sont pas pleinement respectés, et l'indépendance de la justice n'est pas assurée; considérant que les modifications apportées au code du travail, en particulier aux articles 55, 74, 166, 287, 289, 303 et 305, constituent une régression dans le domaine des relations de travail, des droits des travailleurs et du dialogue social, et enfreignent les règles fixées par l'Organisation internationale du travail et par d'autres conventions internationales;

E. whereas an origin marking scheme would have the aim of allowing EU consumers to be fully aware of the country of origin of the products they purchase; whereas consumers would thus be able to identify those products with the social, environmental and safety standards generally associated with that country, in the absence of binding standards agreed upon in the framework of international trade rules,
E. considérant qu'un régime de marquage d'origine permettrait aux consommateurs européens de savoir exactement quel est le pays d'origine des produits qu'ils achètent; considérant qu'ils seraient ainsi capables d'identifier ces produits avec les normes sociales, environnementales et de sécurité qui sont en général associées à ce pays, en l'absence de critères contraignants convenus dans le cadre des règles du commerce international,

Energy-related products that comply with the ecodesign requirements laid down in implementing measures to this Directive should bear the ‘CE’ marking and associated information, in order to enable them to be placed on the internal market and move freely.

In voting for the Giusto Catania report (A6-0052/2007 ), I very much hope to see a marked improvement in international cooperation between police forces to counteract violence associated with football matches.
