Within their respective responsibilities, and without prejudice to the obligations incumbent on beneficiaries under the conditions governing grants, beneficiaries and Member States shall make every effort to implement the projects of common interest which receive Union financial assistance granted under this Regulation.

6. The special incentive arrangement for sustainable development and good governance granted under Council Regulation (EC) No 980/2005 shall continue to be granted from 1 January 2009 to any country still subject to an investigation initiated under Article 18(2) of that Regulation, until the date of conclusion of such investigation under this Regulation.
6. Le régime spécial d’encouragement en faveur du développement durable et de la bonne gouvernance accordé au titre du règlement (CE) no 980/2005 continue d’être accordé, à partir du 1er janvier 2009, à tout pays qui ferait encore l’objet d’une enquête ouverte conformément à l’article 18, paragraphe 2, dudit règlement, jusqu’à la date de clôture de cette enquête, conformément au présent règlement.

(a) the government granting the subsidy or non-commercial advantage agrees to eliminate or limit the subsidy or non-commercial advantage or take other measures concerning its effects; or

In case of breach or withdrawal of undertakings by any party, a definitive measure shall be imposed in accordance with Article 12, on the basis of the facts established within the context of the investigation which led to the undertaking, provided that the investigation was concluded with a final determination as to subsidisation and that the non-Community air carrier concerned, or the government granting the subsidy, has been given an opportunity to comment, except in the case of withdrawal of the undertaking by the non-Community air carrier or such government.
3. En cas de violation ou de rupture d'engagements par une partie, une mesure définitive est imposée conformément à l'article 12 sur la base des faits établis dans le contexte de l'enquête ayant abouti aux engagements, à condition que cette enquête se soit conclue par une constatation finale concernant la subvention et que le transporteur aérien non communautaire concerné ou les pouvoirs publics octroyant la subvention aient eu, sauf dans le cas de la rupture de leurs engagements, la possibilité de présenter leurs observations.

Following contacts between Mr Matutes and Mr Van Miert, Members of the Commission, and the Yugoslav authorities, the latter agreed to grant the Greek government additional road transit authorizations for 1990. On 16 October the Yugoslav government granted 2 500 authorizations over and above the initial quota for 1990 (see IP(90)838).
