Il est dès lors opportun de s’appuyer sur les meilleures pratiques découlant de l’application des normes harmonisées adoptées par le Comité européen de normalisation dans le cadre d’un mandat délivré par la Commission conformément à la directive 98/34/CE du Parlement européen et du Conseil du 22 juin 1998 prévoyant une procédure d’information dans le domaine des normes et réglementations techniques et des règles relatives aux services de la société de l’information , telles que la norme harmonisée définissant les exigences générales pour les organismes d’accréditation procédant à l’accréditation d’organismes d’évaluation de la conformité et la norme harmonisée définissant les exigences pour les organismes fournissant des validations et des vérifications des gaz à effet de serre en vue de l’accréditation ou d’autres formes de reconnaissance, dont les références ont été publiées au Journal officiel de l’Union européenne, ainsi que le document EA-6/03 et les autres documents techniques élaborés par la Coopération européenne pour l’accréditation ou par d’autres organismes.
