Calls for an immediate end to the illegal blockade of the Gaza Strip, which is a collective punishment against the local population; calls on all parties to effectively implement the terms reached under the August 2014 ceasefire agreement; calls on the EU to take concrete steps to press Israel to end the blockade, in particular by setting a timetable; deplores the continued restrictions by Israel on the entry of building materials into Gaza; calls on the Israeli Government to cease its arbitrary and non-transparent process of listing materials as ‘dual-use’ and to bring its dual-use list in line with international standards, in particular by removing wood, aggregates, steel bars and cement; emphasises that Israel, as the occupying power and under the Fourth Geneva Convention, is the sole and main party responsible for maintaining minimum living conditions for the inhabitants of Gaza;
