Based on this process, and the application of these criteria, and a confirmation of the readiness of the potential partnerships in areas such as energy, "smart cities", a sustainable supply of raw materials, water efficiency, smart mobility and agricultural productivity and sustainability, the Commission will present the proposals for partnerships which have met the criteria to the other institutions, during 2011, from February onwards, as part of the roll-out of the Europe 2020 Strategy, in line with the goal of developing a low carbon, energy efficient economy with a strong industrial basis.
