Naast LEADER II omvatten die inspanningen ook nog de programma's in het kader van de doelstellingen 1, 5a en 5b, welke programma's nu haast alle zijn goedgekeurd, en het Europees netwerk voor plattelandsontwikkeling, dat dit jaar van start is gegaan en wordt beheerd door een nu operationeel geworden instantie die tot taak heeft de Commissie bij te staan.
L'adoption d'un grand nombre de programmes de l'Initiative Communautaire LEADER II (au total, 48 programmes sont approuvés à ce jour) complète l'ensemble du dispositif communautaire en faveur du Développement Rural que constituent, outre LEADER II, les programmes des Objectifs 1, 5a et 5b, pratiquement tous approuvés, ainsi que le Réseau Européen du Développement Rural, lancé cette année et pour lequel un organisme chargé d'assister la Commission est maintenant opérationnel.
