Oestrogenen veroorzaken een stijging van het thyroid bindend globuline (TBG), wat leidt tot een toename van de totale hoeveelheid circulerend schildklierhormoon, gemeten aan de hand van eiwitgebonden jodium (PBI, protein bound iodine), T4 spiegels (kolom of radio-immunoassay) of T3 spiegels (radio immunoassay).
Les œstrogènes augmentent la TBG (thyroid binding globulin), entraînant une augmentation des taux circulants totaux d’hormones thyroïdiennes, mesurés par le PBI (protein-bound iodine), les taux de T4 (sur colonne ou par radio-immunodosage) ou de T3 (radio-immunodosage).
