Strongly condemns the latest terrorist attacks by ISIS/Daesh and expresses its deep sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims; reiterates that ISIS/Daesh and other terrorist organisations thrive on chaos and disorder and is convinced that they will do everything in their power to undermine the formation of a national government; believes that an inclusive government upholding the rule of law and providing for the needs of its citizens is the best way to halt the spread of radical sentiments and ultimately the best way to counter terrorism;

En ce qui concerne la réforme de la politique de cohésion en tant que telle, le Comité des régions a, dans son avis, précisé plus avant sa position, que partage d'ailleurs pleinement le Parlement européen, à savoir qu'il s'oppose fermement à toute conditionnalité macroéconomique et qu'il approuve la création de la nouvelle catégorie des "régions en transition".
Specifically regarding the cohesion policy reform, CoR key positions, fully shared by the EP, have been further clarified within the opinion, i.e. the firm opposition to any macroeconomic conditionality and the support for the introduction of the new category of “transition regions”.

Strongly supports the application of the precautionary principle when it comes to the use of pesticides and agrees with the Commission that the use of pesticides in agriculture should be regarded as one of the factors affecting bee health; believes that use of pesticides should be taken into account at least in order to clarify if and to what extent they may play a role in bee health; points out that special attention must be paid to the use of pesticides of the neonicotinoid family that could cause digestive and hormonal disruption; stresses that the long-term effects of systemic pesticides are underestimated and may partially explain the decline in bee populations;

Henri Malosse (groupe des employeurs) et Gérard Dantin (groupe des travailleurs), le CESE se montre très fermement résolu à défendre un budget plus important pour l'UE, un nouveau système de ressources propres et la création d'euro-obligations pour les investissements.

Advocates more practical support for cross-frontier European cooperatives and other means of fostering collaborative ventures between SMEs, and trusts that the proposals for regulations on Statutes for a European mutual society and a European association will be revived, having been withdrawn by the Commission against Parliament’s advice; firmly believes that such initiatives, together with those mentioned above, can give people the means of exploiting their talents and creativity, provide jobs and make for optimism and hope;

36. est fermement convaincu que les brevets jouent un rôle considérable dans l'innovation et dans les résultats économiques, étant donné qu'ils permettent aux innovateurs d'obtenir un retour sur les investissements dans l'innovation et offrent la sécurité nécessaire aux investissements, aux actions et aux prêts; est, par conséquent, d'avis qu'un accord devrait être dégagé rapidement sur un brevet communautaire garantissant une protection juridique peu coûteuse, efficace, souple et de grande qualité, qui soit adapté aux besoins des PME, ainsi que sur une juridiction européenne harmonisée en matière de brevets;

Is strongly convinced that patents play an important role in innovation and economic performance, since they enable innovators to capture the returns from innovative investments and provide the necessary security for investment, equity and loans; is therefore of the opinion that a swift agreement should be reached on a Community Patent ensuring low-cost, efficient, flexible and high-quality legal protection, adapted to the needs of SMEs, as well as on a harmonised European patent litigation system;
