Monsieur le Président, j'ai écouté attentivement l'allocution de la députée. Dans le compte-rendu des sessions récapitulatives avec les directeurs du scrutin — c'est-à-dire ceux qui dirigent les élections sur le terrain dans les 308 circonscriptions du pays — au sujet des 41 élections générales, on résume ainsi les problèmes et les obstacles concernant la participation électorale: les gens ignorent quand et où voter, et ils ne savent pas quelles pièces d'identité apporter.
Mr. Speaker, I listened intently to the member's discourse I noticed though that in the returning officers' post mortem of the 41st general election, they being the people who actually run the elections in each of the 308 ridings across this country, they identified one of the big problems and obstacles to voter turnout being that people did not know where to vote, when to vote, and what ID to bring.
