Plus de deux ans après l’acheminement, par les États-Unis, de quelque 660 détenus étrangers vers la base de Guantanamo Bay dans le cadre de la lutte contre les talibans et Al-Qaïda, l’incertitude règne toujours, malheureusement: incertitude quant aux chefs d’inculpation, incertitude quant à la durée de la détention, incertitude quant à la procédure judiciaire éventuelle, incertitude quant à l’aide juridique et incertitude quant aux contacts avec le pays d’origine.
More than two years after the United States transported some 660 foreign detainees to Guantanamo Bay in the framework of the fight against the Taliban and Al-Qaeda, there is, unfortunately, still uncertainty: uncertainty about the charge, uncertainty about the duration of the detention, uncertainty about the possible judicial process, uncertainty about legal aid and uncertainty about contacts with the country of origin.
