At its 8th Annual Meeting that took place from 26 to 30 March in Guam (USA), the Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission (WCPFC) repealed, with immediate effect, its provisions on closed areas for purse-seine fisheries of bigeye tuna and yellowfin tuna in certain high seas areas.
