The meeting of the Conciliation Committee was held on the evening of 31 January 2006 under the joint chairmanship of Mr Trakatellis, Vice-President, and Josef Pröll, Austrian Minister for Environment, and in the presence of Environment Commissioner Stavros Dimas.

Après une première réunion en "trilogue" le 2 septembre 2003, la réunion du comité de conciliation s'est déroulée le soir du 9 septembre 2003 sous la double présidence de M. Dimitrakopoulos, vice‑président, et de M. Matteoli, ministre italien de l'environnement.

Mr. Alan Nymark, Deputy Minister, Environment Canada: With regard to the difference between counting and crediting, we do not envisage individuals getting credit in the sense of being able to trade reductions that they have made individually into, for example, the large emitter system.
