I think, however, that we are obliged now to ask them why, if individual opt-outs are so fantastic, this provision should not be extended to apply to all legislation concerning health and safety in the workplace. Why stop here?

Points out the urgent need for further clarification on the conditions and issues surrounding the reconstruction of Iraq; underlines the fact that now that the UN is involved in reconstruction, the EU should consider the possibility of actively participating in partnership with the UN given the fact that the EU has committed itself to playing a significant role in the political and economic reconstruction of Iraq; stresses the importance of the EU's Member States reaching common objectives as to what is to be done in Iraq and, in particular, to focus on specific weaknesses such as the democratic deficit, the health system, the media, and civil society; with regard to possible future EU financing for the reconstruction of Iraq, urges the Commission to consider the use of all the available flexibility instruments/the emergency aid reserve in accordance with the IIA (Inter-Institutional Agreement);

I think the government now should look toward investing again in the country, in terms of stimulating the economy, and health care is the priority field.
