Le Conseil de coopération a rappelé l’importance d’une mise en œuvre exhaustive de la stratégie de l’UE pour l’Asie centrale au niveau tant régional que national et salué la participation active du Tadjikistan aux initiatives régionales de l’UE en faveur de l’Asie centrale.
The Cooperation Council reiterated the importance of a comprehensive implementation of the EU Strategy for Central Asia both on a regional and national basis and welcomed Tajikistan’s active engagement in the EU regional initiatives for Central Asia.

Il salue les progrès substantiels réalisés pour faire avancer le partenariat pour la démocratie et une prospérité partagée mis en place avec les pays du sud de la Méditerranée et il attend avec intérêt la mise en œuvre de la feuille de route accompagnant la communication conjointe, dans le cadre d'un dialogue et d'une concertation avec les partenaires, l'objectif étant également d'établir des synergies avec l'Union pour la Méditerranée et d'autres initiatives régionales.
It welcomes the good progress made in advancing the Partnership for Democracy and Shared Prosperity with the countries of the Southern Mediterranean and looks forward to the implementation of the Roadmap accompanying the joint Communication, in dialogue and cooperation with partners, also with the aim of developing synergies with the Union for the Mediterranean and other regional initiatives.

Reiterates the importance of inclusive regional cooperation in the Western Balkans and welcomes Serbia's active participation in regional initiatives and bilateral meetings that promote good neighbourly relations, and its increasingly active role in fostering reconciliation in the region; welcomes the official visit by President Tadić to Bosnia and Herzegovina and his support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country; calls on the Serbian Government to ensure that its direct relations with the authorities of the Republika Srpska are in line with this stated support and do not undermine the integrity, sovereignty, competences and effective functioning of the institutions of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina; furthermore, urges the Serbian authorities to support reforms in BiH aimed at strengthening and streamlining the country's institutions with a view to EU-related reforms; calls on both governments to hold a special joint session in order to achieve better coordination in EU-related reforms; welcomes the initiatives and achievements with regard to improving political relations between Croatia and Serbia launched and brought about by Presidents Josipović and Tadić; reiterates that such positive bilateral relations are a good basis for resolving pending border issues and underlines that the lawsuits on genocide launched by the two countries against each other should not impede further progress in this regard; encourages the Serbian authorities to work closely with the countries of the former Yugoslavia and other neighbouring countries on the resolution of all outstanding problems of legal succession; encourages transborder cooperation with the neighbouring EU Member States Bulgaria, Hungary and Romania, including within the framework of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region;

L’Union européenne salue l’engagement des deux parties à éviter toute interférence de leurs négociations avec le processus électoral endossé par l’Initiative Régionale le 22 avril dernier à Kampala, et appelle au respect des échéances fixées.
The European Union welcomes both parties' pledge to avoid their negoiations interfering with the election process endorsed by the Regional Initiative in Kampala on 22 April 2005, and appeals to them to observe the deadlines set.

7. Le Conseil salue le rôle que jouent l'Initiative régionale et la mission de l'UA au Burundi (MIAB) pour faire avancer les efforts entrepris en faveur de la paix au Burundi.
7. The Council commends the role played by the Regional Initiative and by the AU mission in Burundi (AMIB) in progressing current peace efforts in Burundi.
